Diya Cara — A Life in Art & Film
Diya Cara is a writer, poet, visual artist and film director.
Founder of Casa Diya Art, Éditions Casa Diya Art France, Luminous Quill (USA), the independent film studio DIASTUDIO, and the visual direction IF Vision.
Now based in Europe, she develops a literary and cinematic language where contemporary poetry, memory, inner imagery and light converge — forming a hybrid expression she calls the book-cinema.
Casa Diya Art is her central creative house.
DIASTUDIO has produced more than twenty documentary and video-art films.
IF Vision, the visual direction of Casa Diya Art, develops video and visual projects that merge poetry, photography, archival aesthetics and movement — creating inner cinematic spaces.
Éditions Casa Diya Art France publishes her work within the Francophone artistic sphere.
Luminous Quill (USA) oversees her American editions, ISBN registrations and international archival presence.
She is the author of poetic and visual books including:
• L’atelier des rêves. Esquisse d’un livre
• Esquisses du temps
• La vida cinematográfica o los diarios que no se quemaron
• The Cinematic Life of the Diaries That Didn’t Burn
Her artistic world is defined by a quiet sensitivity, an attention to the inner states of being, and light as a material of creation. Each work — book, film, or visual fragment — becomes a luminous space where images move, silence speaks, and poetry holds the hidden music of presence.
